PAINT STEWARDSHIP
PROGRAM (Through Alberta Recycling Management Authority “ARMA”)
DBS Environmental is
proud to participate in the new “Paint Stewardship Program” that began April 1,
2008 as a processor.
Residents of
participating municipalities will be able to drop off leftover paint and
containers at collection sites free of charge.
Accepted household paint in container sizes of 100
ml to 23 litres are:

Interior and exterior latex & alkyd
(oil-based) paints
-
Porch,
floor and deck paints
-
Interior and exterior varnishes and
urethanes
-
Primers, undercoats and sealers
-
Enamels
-
Wood finishing oils and stains
-
Rust and decorative metal paints
-
Fence and barn paints
-
Paint Aerosols
DBS has the
capabilities of picking up containers filled with paint.
They will be removed from the collecting site for
processing at the DBS site in Lethbridge.
DBS will provide
the mechanism for municipalities to collect their participation funds from ARMA.
DBS can and will provide this service in conjunction
with regular household roundups and electronic waste collections.
